Amber’s Journey

Amber began her journey in the fiber optics industry at the remarkable age of 15, stepping in as a temporary receptionist for her father’s company, Photonic Components. What started as a one-week role quickly evolved into a full-time position, where her dedication and aptitude led her to become the accounting assistant.

When the company’s ownership transitioned, Amber joined her father in establishing Fiber Systems, a sister company with a modest beginning of just three employees.
Under Amber’s multifaceted contributions in accounting, purchasing, and eventually sales, Fiber Systems experienced exponential growth, expanding to 25 employees and relocating across four facilities from San Jose to Santa Cruz, California. Amber’s adaptability and entrepreneurial spirit were pivotal in broadening the company’s product offerings and strengthening its market presence. Her innate talent for sales soon became her professional focus, shaping her career trajectory.

Upon her father’s retirement, Amber took the helm and successfully led Fiber Systems until its acquisition by Galaxy Electronics in 2021. Initially continuing her leadership remotely from California, she relocated to Dallas in 2022 to work in-office, where she currently serves as the Director of Sales for the Fiber Systems division at Galaxy Electronics.
